Terms of Service

The Service

ListingLab is a third-party listing audit tool for Shopify stores. The Service:

• Scans the product listings in your connected store and scores titles, descriptions, tags, images, and metadata against optimization benchmarks;
• Compares listing quality against your store's recent paid-order totals to help you prioritise which products to fix first;
• Generates suggested titles, descriptions, and tags using AI; and
• On paid plans, can create draft product copies in your Shopify store for your review.

The Service never modifies or publishes your live listings automatically. All drafts must be reviewed and published by you inside Shopify. ListingLab is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc.

Your account and responsibilities

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
• You must comply with Shopify's Terms of Service and all applicable laws in operating your store.
• You are solely responsible for all content in your store, including any suggested content you choose to apply or publish. AI-generated suggestions may contain errors; review everything before publishing.
• You may not misuse the Service, including attempting to access other users' data, reverse-engineering the Service, reselling audit output as your own service without a Multi-store agreement, or using the Service to violate any platform policy.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

• The Free plan is limited to the product audit volume shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Where the app is installed through the Shopify App Store, billing is handled via Shopify's billing system and appears on your Shopify invoice; otherwise billing is via our payment processor.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable, but you keep access until the period ends.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.

Intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, scoring rubric, and branding. You own your store content. Suggested content generated for your listings is yours to use, edit, or discard; we claim no ownership over it.

Service availability and changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Audit results depend on the Shopify API; we are not responsible for platform API changes, outages, or rate limits outside our control. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Disclaimers

The Service provides recommendations only. We do not guarantee any improvement in traffic, rankings, conversion, or sales. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except for any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss (including lost profits or lost sales). Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or breach platform policies. On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the date above and notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
